Manufacturing

This methodology is used when more complex geometries are required. Other methods such as stamping or casting may also be used. Difference between active heat sink and passive heat sink
A passive heat sink is an object which disperses heat from a hot object, such as a computer processor, by conduction and convection of ambient air without the use of a fan. A passive heat sink primarily relies on its large surface area to dissipate the heat.
An active heat sink is similar to a passive heat sink, but also uses a fan to further increase the efficiency of the cooling.
