Aluminum motor casing VS Cast Iron motor casing:
1. Motor casing made of cast iron is durable and has high mechanical strength; At the same time, the disadvantage is that the weight is heavier than the aluminum material, it is easy to rust, and the heat dissipation effect is worse than that of the aluminum material.
2. Motor casing made of aluminum, beautiful appearance, not easy to rust, easy to process, and has good heat dissipation performance, but the disadvantage is poor mechanical strength.
3. In terms of electrical properties, it is the same whether the motor casing is cast iron or aluminum.
4. Motors with a shaft height of 80 to 225 mm have both cast iron and aluminum casings. These two materials should not have much effect on the overall performance of the motor. Note: Motors with above 315 mm shaft height are barely made of aluminum.
